Common Change groups may be formed out of common interest, shared value, geographic proximity, or relational connection. Each Common Change group operates autonomously and is lead by a Group Facilitator.
One of the beauties of the the Common Change group process is the opportunity to make better decisions together than we would alone. While group members contribute financially into the fund, they also bring other forms of capital. We call this collective value “the wisdom of the group”. Group members are invited to wisely consider the requests posed to their group, asking the question ‘What is the best way that we can meet this need together?’

Although most of our groups are very interested in interconnectedness and inclusion, some of them are currently working on figuring out what it means to be a group themselves and have put new member requests on hold. Please be sure to read the group description before requesting to join a group to ensure they are open to receiving new members.
